So I was seeking another home.  And for those of you who have been in my shoes, you know it’s not easy.  I never thought I would be in this position … yet here I was seeking again.  Someone recently asked … if the other one didn’t work out, why would you start again with another business.  My answer is simple … I believe in the dream and you can’t let a disappointment stop you from moving forward.

In searching for a new home, I went through some trial and errors with recommendations from others and I decided to just stop and do exactly what I did that allowed me to find the first company where I did have great success and was very happy for the years I was there.  I made my list and I examined all the direct selling companies out there and compared it to the list.  I also looked for any negativity on the internet.  If there was any, they were off the list.  And believe me … that took many off the list.

I found the company and every minute of the day I learn more and more that deepens my love for this company and let me tell you … that is not easy.  I was doubtful that I would be able to find a company I loved as much as my first one lol.  And I love that the person who I joined with has been in the company since it’s beginning and he has solidified everything I wanted and was hoping for to find in a company.  He too has had success.  Success begets success so if you choose to be part of this company, you will have great support with people who have been there, done that.

So what was on my list?

First, I wanted a company that was relatively new but not a start up.  Everyone knows that start ups fail.  This company is 9 years old but with the recent launch of a revolutionary weight loss system and the amazing changes they made to the business model in the last year, it’s like being in a start up with a proven business. And we are at an amazing point right now where there was fantastic growth last year that just continues into this year.

Second, integrity of the leadership.  That is so important to me.  It starts at the top and trickles down to the field.  It’s what defines the company from the leadership to the new person starting.  The more I learn about the CEO, I am so impressed.  He is very smart but very down to earth and transparent with so much integrity.

Third, high quality products that people need.  I love a nutritional company because there are so many people that need to improve their health and so I can make a difference in people’s lives.  But there are so many nutritional companies out there so it had to be a company that offered something unique.  This company does.  Not only are their products affordable and offering products that are so needed right now, which is so important, but they are high quality with such attention given to each ingredient in the products.

Fourth, compensation.  Of course, this is key.  If you aren’t paid well, then you have a hobby, not a business.  Not only is this compensation plan fair and rewarding, paying dollar for dollar (no reward value) but it is something that someone just starting out can see success as well as those who are building to also see the income they are seeking.

Sixth, Training and support.   Wow!   The company has fantastic training from business calls to product calls as well as providing support for motivation as well as allowing you to earn credits through education to give away $70 worth of products!   They really believe in investing in us.  It’s always great to have team support but even more important to have it at the company level.

I have joined with someone who also has great experience in the industry and so I have access to his expertise but even more important, I have also have access to Income Coaches who are there for everyone to help them achieve success.

What’s important is to look forward and not back.  In changing your life around, what you focus on is the direction you will go in and if you continue to focus on not making progress, guess what?  That’s what you’ll get.  As difficult as it may seem, what you need to do is continue looking at the direction you want to go in and you’ll start to see changes.  In fact, one positive way of doing this is if you start to see small things happen, be joyful.  Blair Singer speaks about this and has great information on your mindset in changing your life around.  If you are grateful for the small things, they will start to grow into more.

But let’s say you made the decision and you are taking the right steps in changing your life around.  So what do you do when you have something negative happen, or nothing seems to be happening and you feel like you’re doing all you can in changing your life around?  How do you change focus?  Something I have heard from many different motivational speakers is to first say “Cancel” “Cancel” (I know, I know, it sounds silly but what you are doing is interrupting your thought process)  You can even picture a big red circle with a diagonal line through it.  Then think about what you do want.  And feel the emotions.  Emotions are so powerful in helping you to attract to you what you need and making it happen.  Another example I have heard is if you think about watching TV, you are passively watching something and know it’s not real.  But if you are an actor, you “become” the role and it is real.

But it is difficult when you are among the trees, to know there is a clearing ahead with your dreams coming true.  In shifting focus when something negative happens, Tony Robbins, who I really enjoy watching and is very motivating and fantastic material in changing your life around, had a great example.   He shared that when a race car driver is in a spin, in order to get out of the spin, you have to look at where you want to go, not at the disaster you are heading for.  When you do that, your body automatically turns the car towards your focus.  So think about it . . . what are you focusing on?
