Sleep tips

Do you have problems sleeping at night? Do you pull your hair out and continue to look at the clock wishing the minutes away?  I’d like to share with you some sleep tips that may save you some hair and hopefully allow you to get a better night’s sleep.

Sleep tips can range from useful to some that may take more discipline. For some of you reading this, you may ask yourself is it really that important that I get a good night’s sleep? Do I really need to read these sleep tips and implement them?

Many people underestimate the importance of sleep. According to the National Institute of Health, sleep deficiency has been directly linked to many diseases and conditions.
So I would encourage you to read these sleep tips to see if they could help you because it will help you to lead a healthier life.

Some key sleep tips start with your current environment of where you’re sleeping.

First, it should be cool. Many sleep experts recommend a temperature of 60 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Too hot or too cold can keep you awake. Some of you may start thinking of Goldilocks but she may have had the right idea. You need to be comfortable. From the temperature of the room to the mattress. How long have you had that mattress? Starting to lose some springs? Falling into the middle? I don’t think I need to add to the sleep tips that you need to start thinking about getting a new one.

More important sleep tips is to reduce noise levels. I know you may not think that it is possible depending on your neighborhood but there are sound machines. And if you don’t want to purchase one, even something like a fan can help to drown out the noise, or you could use ear plugs.

Controlling Light are more great sleep tips when thinking about setting the right environment for you to get a good night’s sleep. Try to have less than eight total watts of light for the best sleep. If you’re in a well lit neighborhood, perhaps consider buying the shades that block out light or even wearing a night mask.

There are many other sleeps tips that can help you to have a good night’s sleep and I’ll be sharing more on a future blog post but hopefully after reading this, you’ll take time to look at your sleep environment and look at ways you can improve it so before long you are zzzzzzzz. ?
